Hong Kong’s Coca-Cola Museum in Sha Tin has been newly upgraded and is now opening limited guided tours to the public — a rare chance to step inside one of the city’s most distinctive industrial landmarks.
Though the Coca-Cola bottling plant has long welcomed group visits, this refreshed experience introduces more interactions and engagement for broader public participation

What to Expect
The tour begins inside a redesigned gallery space where historic Coca-Cola bottles, advertising materials and limited-edition designs are displayed chronologically. Glass cabinets line the walls, tracing the brand’s evolution from its early international expansion to its presence in Hong Kong.
From there, visitors move through a series of themed zones.
One section recreates a late-19th-century pharmacy setting, referencing Coca-Cola’s origins. Another area highlights Swire Coca-Cola’s development in Hong Kong since 1965, featuring archival images and milestone exhibits.

The route then transitions toward the operational side of the facility. Through designated viewing areas, participants can observe sections of the bottling process from above, where rows of bottles move steadily along the production line.

Interactive stations are integrated throughout the journey — including sensory activities and photo spots — adding a hands-on dimension without overwhelming the industrial setting.

For many Hong Kong residents, visiting the Sha Tin bottling plant was once part of a primary school itinerary. The newly upgraded museum retains that nostalgic thread while presenting the content in a more contemporary format.
Rather than functioning as a static exhibition, the renewed experience connects heritage displays with real-time industrial production, offering a rare combination of brand history and working factory environment within the city.
